Charming little spa, Niederbronn almost has the activities of a city. You can see an old timer parade in the streets, have fun in one of the many festivals organised by the city, gamble at the casino, relax at the thermes dating from the romans...

There is not one single day without something to do at Niederbronn. Thanks to the De Dietrich Group (metallurgy) which employs 5 000 persons, the region enjoys an economic boom.
The de Dietrich family plays an important part in the history of Alsace : during the thirty years war, the village was burnt down. It is bought in 1764 by Jean de Dietrich. This ingenious man developped a large industry by installing ironworks in Jaegenthal not far from Niederbronn.

One of his descendant, Philippe-Frédéric de Dietrich was mayor of Strasbourg in 1790 and it is in his home in Strasbourg that Rouget de l'Isle composed the french national anthem : "La Marseillaise".
